Raising The BARR for Private Preschool Education one child at a time.
ABOUT US
The Learning Pod - Stoughton is committed to providing a safe, secure and simulating environment that fosters creativity, and self-esteem. We offer an exceptional academic preschool program for children ages 6 weeks - 6 years of age. (Our Before and After School age group allows children up to 8 years of age).
Children are viewed as individuals and are provided with activities, which can be approached from a variety of developmental levels. We pay attention to each child’s particular needs while at the same time emphasizing the importance of group interaction. We want our children to realize that they live in a diverse world, and we want them to develop and appreciate the difference between themselves and others.
Creativity is encouraged through open-ended learning. In a safe, warm, supportive environment, children are able to take risks and experiment with materials. Social skill development is a major part of the curriculum. Children are given many opportunities to participate in group activities or to play alone. In a group setting, children develop, share, and cooperative play skills. Children learn, with adult supervision and intervention, where necessary, to negotiate problems and to solve difficult social situations.
Family is an integral part of the program. Communication with our parents is open and consistent. Parents and family members are encouraged to visit the classroom when they are able, provided it does not cause stress for the child.
When appropriate and feasible, children will be involved in the establishment of rules, policies and procedures within their classrooms. Preschool and school-age children, in particular, are able to understand the need for limits and rules in a way in which infants and toddlers cannot yet grasp. With this in mind, preschoolers may participate in establishing limits and rules for safe, productive play and use of materials in their environment.
We have carefully selected you as a staff member because we believe that you can provide the high-quality service that continually makes us the best in the business.
